The Pups at Fifteen Days

At two weeks of age spots are beginning to emerge and eyes have opened. All eyes in this litter appear to be dark brown. Ears are not yet open. They are walking around like little drunken sailors.

The First Few Days

The pups were very uniform when born. As with all dalmatians, the spots are on their skin, but the black hair has not yet grown to reflect where the spots are. There are no patches in this litter. While Lola is a liver-spotted Dalmatian, the sire of these pups is not liver-factored. That is why all of the pups are black and white spotted. Lola is being a superb mother even though this is her first litter, and despite the fact that these pups were born by caesarian section.
